Prizes and Cash for the 2023 CIBA Winners Who Will Be Announced at the 2024 Chanticleer Authors Conference on April 20, 2024.
The 2023 CHANTICLEER INTERNATIONAL BOOK AWARDS will award cash prizes (USD) plus more than $30,000 in services and products from affiliates and sponsors.
- One Overall 2023 GRAND PRIZE WINNER chosen from the Division Grand Prize Winners will receive $1,000 USD
- The 2023 FICTION and DIVISION GRAND PRIZE WINNERS will receive the coveted Grand Prize Ribbons, various sponsor awards, and promotion for the winning titles. Division Grand Prize Winning Titles will receive an Exclusive Chanticleer Book Review Package and Author Interview along with e-newsletter and social media promotion (Valued at $795)
- Non-Fiction Division Grand Prize Winners will receive the coveted Grand Prize Ribbons, various sponsor awards, and promotion for the winning titles. Division Grand Prize Winning Titles will receive an Exclusive Chanticleer Book Review Package and Author Interview along with e-newsletter and social media promotion (Valued at $795)
- Series Grand Prize Award Winner will receive 3 Chanticleer Editorial Book Reviews for the winning titles ($1,785 value), along with prizes and services from Chanticleer affiliates and sponsors as well as the Author Interview. These will be awarded throughout the year.
- Collections for Shorts Grand Prize Winner has the option of having one of the collection’s story published in the Chanticleer Magazine (print and digital). plus the coveted Grand Prize Ribbon, various sponsor awards, and promotion for the winning titles. The Collection Grand Prize Winning Title will receive an Exclusive Chanticleer Book Review Package and Author Interview along with e-newsletter and social media promotion (Valued at $795)
- Shorts (for individual Short Stories, Essays, and Novellas) Grand Prize Winner will receive the coveted Grand Prize Ribbons, various sponsor awards, and promotion for the winning titles. Division Grand Prize Winning Titles will receive an Exclusive Chanticleer Book Review Package and Author Interview along with e-newsletter and social media promotion (Valued at $795)
- First Place Category Winners (Fiction and Non-Fiction) will receive coveted Blue Ribbon packages, digital badges along with prizes and services from Chanticleer affiliates and sponsors. These will be awarded throughout the year. First Place Category winners will be recognized in the Chanticleer print and digital magazine.
- Series First Place Awards Winners will receive prize Blue Ribbon packages along with prizes and services from Chanticleer affiliates and sponsors. These will be awarded throughout the year. They will also receive recognition and digital badges and will be recognized in the Chanticleer print and digital magazine.
- Shorts First Place Award Winners (Collections and Individual Short Stories) – will receive coveted Blue Ribbon packages along with prizes and services from Chanticleer affiliates and sponsors. These will be awarded throughout the year. First Place winners will be recognized in the Chanticleer print and digital magazine.
- Finalists will receive recognition and digital badges and will be recognized in the Chanticleer print and digital magazine.
- Semi-Finalists will receive recognition in social media and on the Chanticleer website.

The Chanticleer Prize Package includes:

- Book stickers to identify your print books to bookstore shoppers as they browse
Note: If you cannot attend the book awards ceremony to receive your ribbon on stage, please note that we will begin mailing out ribbon packages to book winners by August. Winners must confirm mailing address to receive the package. Winners will be notified by email. Award Winners not living in the U.S. will need to pay for international postage.
CIBA Winners are announced on the Chanticleer website, on Chanticleer Reviews Facebook Page, On Twitter @ChantiReviews, in our e-news blasts, and by email.
In addition to all the ribbons and badges you will also receive powerful promotional boosts from Chanticleer Reviews, with:
- Your name and book title announced on our high traffic website at the finalist stage, the category winner stage, the genre grand prize stage, and the overall grand prize stage, depending on how far you go in the competition

Now for the Fine Print (We have very little fine print, so don’t worry.).
- Blue Ribbon Package – you will need to pay for postage to have your blue ribbon package mailed if you live outside of the U.S.A. The package will include your blue ribbon, adhesive stickers, digital badges, and other goodies. You can pay for international postage through our website or by paying directly through PayPal.

We will need for you to email us confirming your current mailing address and updated information to: AuthorOutreach@ChantiReviews.com BEFORE we can mail your package to you.
** A small sampling of adhesive gold-toned book stickers will be included in your ribbon mailing. Additional adhesive stickers for purchase will be available through a special winners circle portal that will be online.
***Chanticleer Book Review Package: Since we have 16 fiction divisions plus seven non-fiction divisions along with Series and Shorts, it may take up to a year to receive the awarded review. We schedule approximately eight-to-ten winning titles to be reviewed per month. Awarded winning titles are placed the review queue. The first selected reviews will appear a few months after the Chanticleer Awards Gala. Social media posting of reviews will commence on the date that the CBR review is published to the Chanticleer website. If the winning title has been previously reviewed by Chanticleer Reviews, a refund will not be given, but a transfer voucher for another work or future work by the same author will be given. Awarded book review packages are non-transferable and are valid only for the award-winning author. If you need a more timely review, to coordinate with a release date or other types of promotion, we suggest that the authors take advantage of the discount voucher (please ask if one was not provided to you) for a scheduled expedited review package. We are a small company with a limited staff. We pay our reviewers for each and every review that they write whether they were purchased at full price or awarded as part of contest winnings. Thank you for understanding and thank you for your patronage and support that makes Chanticleer Reviews possible.
Award-winning manuscripts will be placed in the review queue once the author informs us that they are ready for publication and sends us the ARC (advance reader copy).
***Book Reviews are for winning titles only and are non-transferable.
***Authors will receive a For Release copy of the review to use in the promotion of the award-winning title.
****Links to the downloadable “CBR shelf-talkers” (imagine the tags that you see taped to the stock shelves when you are selecting a bottle of wine) that coordinate with the title will be available after the CBR book review is published. Access will through the exclusive winners’ circle portal on the Chanticleer Reviews website.
